A charming Country house with a view of Montepulciano
An exquisite suite tucked away in the green hills of Tuscany.
Ones eye glides across the lush countryside and settles on the village of Montepulciano. The view of the recently opened San Bruno Relais is truly magical. Six suites immersed in the peaceful greenery. The owner, Alberto Pavoncelli has done exceptionally well: the rooms have a refined simplicity, reflecting the colours of "terra di Siena", clay tiles and chimney, traditionally furnished with the occasional comtemporary luxury such as jacuzzi bath and air conditioning. Sleep amongst the feather pillows and pure linen bedding. The first breakfast, exquisite, comes served in the garden or the old lemon barn transformed into an elegant lounge. In a secluded position, with a view of the church of San Biagio, is the pool. The aperitif alternates between Nobile di Montepulciano and Brunello di Montalcino.

A Bed and Wine in Senese
Set in the hills of Montepulciano in Senese, in the background the the 5th Century Basilica San Biagio, an ancient pink granite villa of Noble origin has just been transformed into a charming "Bed and Wine". San Bruno Relais has only six rooms (tel. 0578716222, www.sanbrunorelais.com), all in a rustic and chic style, with painted copies of the famous Botero hanging on the walls. Breakfast is served in the flowery greenhouse, the menu - strictly Bio. After breakfast one can laze around on a Hammock or relax by the pool. Neopolitano Alberto Pavoncelli will delight in showing you around, he looks after every detail, from the bed sheets in pure linen to the Almalfitane ceramics designed exclusively for the Relais.
